A PERSONAL NOTE FROM JEROME C. DRAPER, JR (January 1, 2024)

I celebrated my 100th birthday in 2023 and, after some 80 years involved in many facets of the wine industry, I have finally decided it is time for me to retire. At one point we had Draper Vineyards on Spring Mountain in St. Helena, the Draper & Esquin retail store in San Francisco, Wine Distributors (wholesale), and Wine Imports Limited with offices in California, London, and Paris. There were weekly tastings of the Vintners Club, a wine book library, The Vintners Club Book, and much more. All of this has been enriching and rewarding for me, and I am especially grateful to all of my customers for their support over the years. Now I leave you all in good hands with my son, Jerome C. Draper, III while I remain an “emeritus” advisor. Thanks to everyone and may 2024 and beyond bring many gifts and joys to each of you.

Jerome Draper Wine Merchant

Some changes are now in play for Jerome Draper Wine Merchant.  As Jerome Jr is now retired Jerome III is keeping the store in San Anslemo, California (Marin County) active.  We meet customer there seven days a week by appointment only.  Jerome Jr remains our mentor and advisor.

We keep in touch with the thousands of our customers via our mailing list and can deliver wine to any place in California and to a number of other states. Wine orders come via the internet, telephone and from those who meet at the store.
